About the Team ByteDance Networking brings together innovative ideas and technologies from network architecture, software-defined networking (SDN), network virtualisation, switch software and hardware co-design, and high-speed networking, to create hyperscale data-center networking solutions that power several of the most popular apps of the world such as Douyin and TikTok which serve hundreds of millions of users around the globe. ByteDance Networking is responsible for designing, building, and operating the global, intelligent network infrastructure to meet the requirements of high availability, scalability, and high-performance. By joining this team, you will gain marketable software development and/or network operation experiences in data center networking on a massive scale. We are looking for talented individuals to join us for an internship. Our internship program offers students hands-on experience, industry exposure, and opportunities to apply their knowledge to real-world challenges while building a strong foundation for personal and professional growth. Interns will gain practical experience, explore potential career paths, and participate in social events, learning programs, and development workshops alongside industry professionals. Responsibilities - Design, build, operate and optimize ByteDance's global network, including backbone, data center, public cloud and Edge/CDN. - Work with cross-functional teams including but not limited to compute, storage, database, recommendation system, drive the innovation and evolution of ByteDance network. - Work with external vendors and ISPs for device and carrier selection, perform testing and verification.

任职要求

Minimum Qualifications - Currently pursuing a Undergraduate/ Master's in Computer Science, Information Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline. - Good network knowledge, such as OSI and TCP/IP model; - Have basic understanding of how network devices work, such as switches, routers; - Have a passion for networking and am willing to learn; - Self-motivated, good communication and writing skills, good team player Preferred Qualifications: - Hands-on experience of major network devices, such as Cisco, Arista, Juniper, H3C, Huawei and other mainstream vendors. - Good understanding of network monitoring protocols and tools, such as SNMP, Sflow/netflow, Telemetry. - Basic understanding and usage of network-related Linux tools
